The PBAS is presently setting up a
registration system for all affiliated players. In future players registered
through PBAS will enjoy the same privilege as players registered through other
associations.
For this year’s contest, players
“guesting” with various bands will be required to observe the regulations (Pipe
Bands Aus), as outlined below. This will apply to all regional players who are
registered with bands in other parts of the world.
A.3.01 REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS
A.3.01.01 A person shall
not be eligible to play in a contest with a band until 30 days after that
band has registered that
person as a player for contest in the manner from time to time prescribed by
the Association (except
as the Association otherwise determines) and, if registered as a player for
contest by another band,
that band has furnished a clearance confirming that the player is under no
financial or like
obligation to that band.
A.3.01.02 A player who
has transferred from one band ("band A") to another ("band
B") shall not
be eligible to compete
with a band other than band B until 90 days after registration as a player for
contest with band B
without the approval of the Association which shall not be granted except for
good
cause.
A.3.01.03 A person
ceases to be registered as a player for contest with a band on the lodging with
the Association of a
clearance from that band or of an application for registration as a player with
another band.
